In this manner you can labor in the comfort of your own home, where labor progresses optimally, for as long as possible.

As your Midwife Monitrice, we co-create labor, birth and postpartum plans, ways of coping with discomfort and fatigue with clinical support and cultivating continuity of care.

 Fees

  • This fee includes all of your basic care and assures you a reserved date for when you are due on my calendar. The full global fee for Monitrice support with Woven Midwifery includes Midwifery supported antepartum, delivery, and postpartum care. Woven Midwifery  accompanies families in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. We draw upon our knowledge and experience to provide clinical support as autonomous providers, emotional support, physical comfort and communication with your health care provider to ensure you have the information needed to make informed decisions in labor. We can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning, optimal fetal positioning, rebozo support and other techniques for comfort. As your montitrice, we are working for you, not your care giver or hospital/birth center.

  • If care is begun at 36 weeks of pregnancy, or thereafter, for maternity services, the full global fee is due, in full, at the initial prenatal visit.

Global Professional Fees for Midwifery Service, Monitrice: $2200

Insurance and Billing

Insurance

If a client has insurance, they have the option to submit a claim. The Midwife's insurance biller, STM Billing will submit a Verification of Benefits and is available to answer any questions regarding insurance reimbursement. These clients will pay a retainer fee to the Midwife and their reimbursement will be based on their individual insurance plans and deductible. Unfortunately Woven Midwifery cannot accept Medi-Cal for care, but it may be used to cover the cost of labs.

Insurance can be billed for any type of visit, after the care is received. Unfortunately Licensed Midwives are considered Out-of-Network so a Verification of Benefits can be done, by request through our biller, STM Billing.

Insurance coverage for pregnancy related care is done globally- meaning the care between conception through 6 weeks postpartum is typically billed collectively, after 6 weeks postpartum.

Medical Loan Option

United Medical Credit offers medical loans to help cover midwifery care costs. This option can be used for families who don’t have insurance or who are waiting for their insurance reimbursement to arrive after the global midwifery service has been rendered and the billing has been submitted. Click Here to Discover Medical Loan Options
