Approaching transition through story is a powerful resource in birth. Childbirth education (CBE) is a way of reconnecting to your ancestors, whether known or unknown to you. Feel empowered to ask your family and friends about their birthing and what surprised them, what moved or changed their perspectives. I highly recommend CBE or some form of study around gathering knowledge for families seeking to birth as their own authority. CBE is a way that you can create ritual around the preparation of welcoming your baby. You and your partner can go on dates as you learn or start each session with meaningful music that will reconnect to the foundational moments in your relationship.

I highly recommend stories around transformation to inform this practice, including the story of Inanna- as told through Birthing From Within practitioner and Midwife, Nicole Morales LM CPM.
